In-between all those “How I made $1000 Writing on Medium” articles, which stem from people that have a huge amount of writing experience and expertise, I couldn’t find one post that will tell you how hard it actually is to achieve this.

Within this post, I will share the story of a beginner writer, who recently earned his first dollar from writing on Medium, as well as everything you need to know to achieve the same — and more!

Where I’m currently at

Before I will give you any advice or tell you about the mistakes I’ve made, let me give you some insight into my earnings from the last month, so you get an idea of my current situation:

I know, this is not much! But this is exactly the reason why I showed it to you. The point of this post is not to show off that I make huge amounts of money with writing. It is the opposite. I want to provide maximum transparency and give you some insight on the things I’ve achieved, as well as everything that I’ve struggled with over the last month.

Use this information well and learn from my mistakes!

What I’ve learned
