Do you have an old dusty computer standing around in the corner just waiting for someone to boot it up and do something cool with it already?
Well, then let’s make good use of this old hardware by building our own completely self-hosted GitLab instance and making it remote-controllable from anywhere!

For a long time, I’ve tried to implement the habits of highly successful people. Do exactly what they do, and it will lead to the same results.
Like many others, I followed this idea for years, until I discovered John C. Maxwell’s How Successful People Think. This book completely changed my perspective. Suddenly, someone stopped talking about habits of successful people, and instead focused on their thoughts and how they make their decisions.
Changing the way I think was an essential step to restructure my life, define what actions are followed by the most profitable results, and make the best…
Today I stumbled across a video called “Life Lessons from 100-Year-Olds”. I was immediately blown away by the idea of this video and the statements of the people within it. So much so, that just had to write an article about it.
Of course, I highly recommend watching it by yourself, but if you’re lacking the time, or you want to hear a different interpretation, here’s a short summary of the most interesting quotes, and the way I interpret them.
When Mr. Crozier was asked what’s the secret of living past 100 years old, he gave the following answer:
… ZU DIENEN!
These are the words every Austrian soldier has to shout out loud after 4 weeks of basic training in the Austrian military. “Zu dienen” means “to serve” and saying this phrase is part of a process that every recruit has to undergo after he has completed basic training and can now officially be called a soldier.
Many of you may have thought that I’ve quit writing on Medium. This article explains why I haven’t been able to publish a single story over the past 6 months, why our publication The Sixth Sense stopped releasing new content, and…
It’s been a while…
2020 has been a difficult year for all of us. Due to inconveniences we had to take a break of managing The Sixth Sense. However, 2021 arrived and we are now ready to take The Sixth Sense on another level.
We’ll pick up right where we left off and provide you with a number of new and exciting articles about self-improvement, personal development and minimalism.
The growth of our community was, and still is our number one priority, which is why we are actively looking for motivated and enthusiastic writers that contribute their thoughts and ideas.
Thank you for your support!

How can highly successful people get so much done during their day?
That’s a question I’ve been asking myself a lot. It’s become almost a daily habit to read, watch, or listen to those people, to find out what their secret is.
Recently, I’ve stumbled upon a book called Getting Results — The Agile Way, written by J. D. Meier, where he presents a strategy called The Rule of Three, which can be used in many different ways to improve your productivity, time-management, and work-life balance.
I’ve now been using this strategy for a few days, and it has helped…
Before we begin, let me warn you right away: This is not going to be a “How I Make $1000 Every Month On Medium” type of story. It won’t be that exciting, interesting, nor motivating. Maybe, it’ll even be a bit boring.
But what this article definitely offers, is honesty, transparency and realism. Keep that in mind while reading, but other than that, have fun!
A little more than three months ago, I started writing on Medium. Before that, I’ve read tons of success stories, talking about how people earned loads of money with a few viral articles.
Within the past three months, I’ve published exactly 42 articles.
Back when I wrote my first piece, this was just a fun little experiment. To be honest, I started writing because I read a few articles about how much money authors on this platform make. Thus, I wanted to try out whether it’s really that easy.
Spoiler: It’s not — but we’ll save that for another time.
Over the course of those three months, the little experiment developed into a daily habit. …
Sometimes, I don’t want to produce. I don’t want to write an article, do the chores, exercise, or finish something for work.
I just want to sit down and watch a YouTube video, or read a book. But then I find myself watching some Twitch livestream for over three hours, which makes me hate myself afterwards, because I could have done something more productive with my time.
Getting downtime is just normal, as well as important for your creativity. Nobody can produce 24/7. It requires you to have inspiration, a good idea and the motivation to put this idea into…
Honestly, I hate writing.
I hate the feeling of staring at a white page, trying to crank out a single sentence, which I would later throw away anyways, because it’s not good enough.
When I stand in the shower and some idea comes to my mind, I always think that this could be the foundation of a new masterpiece. I would go through the story in my head several times, and come up with a perfect article. But then, when I suddenly sit down and try to write, there’s this nothingness inside my head. I can’t come up with a…
